Description

Kim Jung Soo, known professionally as Kim Jung Min, is a South Korean actor and singer. He graduated from Dongdo Technical High School and later obtained an associate's degree in Architectural Equipment from Kyungwon College and a bachelor's degree in Applied Music from Digital Seoul Culture and Arts University. Before debuting, he was part of a rock band in high school, but he was never interested in being the vocalist. He only wanted to play the guitar, but he was cast on the street for his good looks. He made his debut in 1992 singing the OST "Stay in Your Love" for the MBC drama "4 Days of Love" but later spent a few years in obscurity as his agency kept more money in a problem that plagued the music industry in the 1980s and 1990s. He experienced some financial difficulties until he quit the company sometime around 1994. That same year, he re-released his first song, and in 1995, he released "Sad Covenant Ceremony", a song that would launch his career by winning the Top-10 Golden Cup and his next song, "Last Promise", was also very popular. In 2004, he made his acting debut with a role in "Old Miss Diary", which was later adapted from TV to film in 2006. That year, he married former Japanese idol Rumiko Tani (formerly known as Chinatsu Miyoshi), and the couple had 3 children. In 2021, he auditioned (under his real name) for a spot in the project group MSG WANNABE created in the show "Hangout with Yoo". He was selected and became part of the sub-unit JSDK alongside Simon Dominic, Lee Dong Hwi and Lee Sang Yi.(Source: Korean = NamuWiki)
